Throughout the year volunteers’ help clean out plant beds, plant new flowers, bushes, etc. to help keep Briargate looking beautiful. In August the school grounds are spruced up by a team before the new school year begins.
This board located by the cafeteria allows students, staff, and parents to view upcoming student birthdays in a fun and creative display.
Books are provided for students to choose from on their birthdays. A small gift from the PTO on their special day.
Another way to promote “reuse, reduce and recycle” and help our Briargate community—The Briargate Closet collects new and gently used items each year. Winter coats and accessories as well as Halloween costumes are some items that may be collected in the Fall.
Our bus drivers are celebrated and appreciated for safely driving many of our students to and from school each day and field trips.
The Directory/Calendar provides parents and students with a collective view of school and PTO event dates, School, PTO and BOE member information, etc. We feature artwork done by Briargate students. The directory contains optional listings of addresses and phone numbers of Briargate families, as well as valuable information about the school, such as class lists and teachers. As a service to our Families with businesses we also have a section for them to advertise their business listing in our directory. The directory/calendar is available for purchase during the first quarter of the school year and usually comes out in October.
This group is open to 5th graders and supported by PTO volunteers. The focus of this committee is to implement Environmentally sound practices and promote awareness at Briargate.
Each Tuesday morning throughout the school year the Briargate School Store is open for business to students from 8:30-8:45 am. A variety of school supplies are available ranging from $0.10-$1.00.
Parents are given the opportunity to purchase school supply kits for the new school year. An order form is usually sent home in the spring an an online option for ordering is also available.
This committee plans and provides special meals, treats and gifts for the teachers and staff throughout the year.
The yearbook is comprised of photographs taken of students, staff and school activities throughout the year. Yearbooks must be pre-ordered and will be distributed on the last day of school.
